The Sweetest Swing In Baseball by Stage Coach Theater

I was asked by Stage Coach Theater to do production photos of their current running show The Sweetest Swing in Baseball.  This is a fun show and even though it is billed as a drama, it has a lot of funny bits.  Though the funny bits can be darker than some.  Still it was a fun show with a great cast and it was a privilege to work with them to take these pictures.

Signs of Spring

I love watching spring unfold.  I'm sure that part of it is that I don't like the cold.  Of course there's also the fact that in winter there's so much less color to take pictures of.  Suddenly spring explodes and there's color everywhere.  I could blog for many weeks in a row as the various stages spring erupted.  However, just to limit things for this blog post I'll just share pictures of the signs of spring that popped up close to my house.  There's plenty of things to see from the rows of vibrant daffodils to the tiny leaves bursting out of the tree branches.  Enjoy the warmer weather!

Idaho Book Arts Guild - First Thursday in April

In further documenting the Idaho Book Artists Guild's Artist in Residence experience I captured their First Thursday participation.  On the first Thursday of every month downtown Boise celebrates the arts with a gallery stroll.  The art galleries around town and art shops use this opportunity to show their wares to an interested audience.  The Idaho Book Artists Guild set up three workshops in their space that gave strollers the opportunity to sit down and create artistic books with hands-on tutoring.  It was a lot of fun and people enjoyed making little books with a twist such as the "hidden room" book depicted in the first picture.  In addition to First Thursdays, iBAG will also be holding some workshops on some Saturdays as well.
