Story Story Night: The Outsider

I volunteered to be the photographer for the July edition of Story Story Night.  This event is much like a poetry slam except that the participants get up and tell true stories.  Each month they have a different theme and this time around it was "The Outsider."  First they had three people who had submitted their stories ahead of time.  They retold their stories to the audience without using notes.  Then they had five volunteers come up from the audience to tell five minute stories on the same theme.  The best stories got prized such as gift certificates to local restaurants.  This was a lot of fun and I hope I get to do it again very soon.

Goddess Fest in Boise

It seems like every weekend there's some kind of festive gathering in Boise.  There's really too many of them for me to capture but I'm thinking from time to time I should take the opportunity to take pictures of the more colorful ones.  Keeping this in mind, I did a photo walk at the Goddess Fest.  It certainly fits the bill since both the people and the settings qualify as being "colorful."   It was a lot of fun and there was something cool around every corner. I hope you enjoy the results.
