Christmas Eve in Downtown Boise

I went into downtown Boise on Christmas eve to see what kinds of light displays were up this year and to see what kinds of pictures I could capture of them.  However due to the economy I found less than I had hoped for but was still able to find some fun stuff to shoot.  On the other hand, I kept it short too because it wasn't more than 28 degrees out that night.  It wasn't long before my hands froze.  On the other hand, you can see I got an interesting picture of the pond in front of the train depot.

Urban Decay

It's always challenging and interesting to shoot outdoors in December.  The sun is harsh and comes in at an odd angle.  However that turns out to be perfect conditions for the subject of a photowalk that we've been wanting to do for some time, Urban Decay.  Actually the first challenge was finding a site to shoot since in spite of the rough economy, Boise has managed to to have too many places that have fallen apart.  Eventually we found an area and then took loads of photos.  Particularly interesting was looking at the details.  I hope you enjoy the results of this December adventure.
