Senior Portraits: Shane

I was recently hired to do a senior portrait shoot with Shane.  He seemed a bit nervous at first but so relaxed and seemed to be having fun with the shoot.  We explored the paths at Kathryn Albertson park looking for nice settings for him to pose.  It's my favorite place for doing a project like this.  Though we noticed that the dry spring we had cut back a bit on the greenery.  Also Shane is on his school's swim team and we wanted to get some shots depicting that.  We couldn't find a swimming pool that would let us shoot there so we got creative with the fountain at Julia Davis Park.  Everyone is quite happy with the results.

Premier of Tricks at Stage Coach Theatre

Last weekend was the world premier of a new show at Stage Coach Theater.  It was an awesome honor for the theater to do this.  So much so that the playwright Lloyd Schwartz flew up from Los Angeles to participate in the event.  Schwartz is a well know television writer and producer and has worked on such shows such as The Brady Bunch.  The gala involved food, drink and speeches.  The show opened to a packed house and was followed by a question and answer session.

Boise 150: Boise's Birthday!

The city of Boise has just turned 150 years old and they have been having events and programs through the year.  Last weekend was the big party.  I didn't photograph the parade but I did a photo walk through the festival.  There were historic actors, vintage vehicles, musicians, food vendors and artisans.  They also opened up the Idaho Historical Museum and The Idaho Black History Museum for free admission.  It was a very fun event.  Happy Birthday Boise!
