Story Story Night: February

The theme this month at Story Story Night was Reckless.  So naturally that led to some fun and exciting stories.  Sometimes we were impressed the story teller was around to tell the tale.  There were some really cool characters in this bunch and it was a lot of fun.

Will Act 4 Food: Benefit for the Idaho Food Bank

At the beginning of February I got to do something very special.  I was the official photographer for Will Act 4 Food.  Every year Daisey's Madhouse has a theater event to raise money for the Idaho Food Bank.  This year was extremely successful with the largest audience ever.  The event is something of a marathon.  People sign up to be actors, directors or script writers.  Friday night everyone meets up and the writers are assigned a genre in which to write a ten minute play.  Then they spend all night writing.  Early Saturday morning the seven directors receive their scripts and then draw actor's names out of a hat.  They spend all day rehearsing and at 7:30 that evening they have a live audience.  This year had the most spectacular results they've ever had.  This was a very cool event and for a good cause.

Stage Coach Theatre: Rent Promo Shoot

I had a wonderful shoot this weekend with the cast of Rent.  They were a fun bunch of people to work with and I'm sure this will be a great show.  It was also interesting that instead of doing the shoot in the theater we did it in downtown Boise to get an urban look to the pictures.  The colorful graffiti in Freak Alley was particularly effective.  The show opens February 28 at Stage Coach Theatre.

Boise Little Theater: Bus Stop

Another fun show at Boise Little Theater.  The interesting thing about this one is that the show is supposed to look like a black and white movie.  So the set is all black, white and gray as is the costumes.  So to perpetuate that look, the director asked me to gray scale the pictures too.  I think it turned out quite nicely.
