The Nifty Fifty

Quite some time ago I purchased a 50mm lens for my camera but never bothered to work much with it.  My workhorse lens is a very versatile 24-70 zoom lens that is really great.  In fact, working with the 50mm really informed me how spoiled I was.  For example, it's a fixed lens and so I had to "zoom" with my feet.  On the plus side, it made me think a lot more about composition and moving the camera around to compose a shot. That was a fun experience.  That was also made easier since the 50mm on my camera is about two thirds lighter than it is with my 24-70 mounted on it.  This was such a fun experience that I'll have to try it again some day. I hope you enjoy the results.
