Looking For Spring
While I've shot pictures in Kathryn Albertson park many times during the green seasons, I've never been there in the winter. A friend told me he had tried to shoot pictures then before but it was just too blah. So I cheated a little bit and went there just as the first signs of spring are showing. In the end I think I came up with a few nice pictures. One thing that struck me was how the place had been vandalized by beavers.

Photo Walk: Lucky Peak Dam
This week I decided to do a photo walk up at the Lucky Peak Dam. It was a special time to do it at the end of winter as the Boise river is at it's lowest. So I wanted to take pictures of the rock, roots and moss that we don't normally get to see when the river is full. My timing turned out to be perfect since the next day they started releasing the first of the spring run off. This was a very fun shoot except for the fact a very harsh wind was blowing at the time. This was merely annoying except for the time I was walking on a very narrow trail along a cliff to get a shot of the top of the dam and feared the wind might push me off the cliff and into the reservoir. Turns out luck was on my side. I hope that you enjoy this batch of photographs.
Can you see Neptune sitting on his throne?
I made a new friend.
